Fernando Torres and Juan Mata gave Rafa Benítez his first Premier League win at Chelsea this afternoon, after two draws and a defeat. The ex-Atlético forward was key, scoring twice. He netted the first one in the 11th minute from Hazard's good cross, showing his goal-poacher's instincts. The second came from a penalty in the 47th minute. Mata killed the game off with a third two minutes later, finishing a move inside the box.
Johnson pulled one back for the second-from-bottom side but that was unable to shake Chelsea, who notched up their second win in a row after they thrashed Nordsjaelland on Wednesday, with the help of another Torres double.
