Cristiano Ronaldo could take another step towards Real Madrid greatness on Saturday.
If he scores against Valladolid at the José Zorilla stadium, Cristiano will record his 126th league goal and become Madrid's sixth top goalscorer of all time, equalling a record set by Madrid legend Gento.
The Portuguese will have reached the milestone in just 116 games and less than four seasons, far less time than Gento, who required 428 games over 18 seasons.
Cristiano has scored a phenomenal 125 goals in 115 league games, averaging more than a goal for every game he has played in a white shirt in La Liga.
He is the most efficient forward in Real Madrid's history, scoring 167 goals in 166 games in all competitions, with an average of 1.01 goals per game, ahead of Alfredo di Stefano (307 goals from 396 games, average of 0.77); Pahíño (124 in 144 games, average of 0.86) and Ferenc Puskas (242 in 261 games, average of 0.93) and is the 9th top scorer in Madrid's history in all competition, just five goals away from overtaking Emilio Butragueño in 8th place.
