Juventus are speeding up their move for Fernando Llorente and are seriously considering signing the player in the winter transfer window, despite initially planning to wait until June to bring the Spanish player in. The Turin clubs latest idea is to present Athletic with an immediate offer of five or six million euros for the 27 year old, in order to be able to call on his services in the second half of the season, according to the 'Gazzetta dello Sport'. Under no circumstances would they pay more for the player.
By qualifying for the next round of the Champions League Juventus now have funds available to sign the player who will be free in June. Athletic have constantly rejected talk of a move for the player, but the atmosphere in San Mamés regarding the player is only getting more difficult, as seen in the Europa League game on Thursday against Sparta Prague.
Juventus are also eyeing up Drogba. The Chinese season is now finished and the player is back training with Chelsea in order to get ready for the African Cup. However, the situation is complicated because the player would need to sort out his contract with Shanghai Shenhua and Juventus would be unlikely to offer the striker more than a six month contract given that the player is now 35. Drogba is thought to be looking for a two year deal.
