The race to sign Pep Guardiola is hotting up after the rumours flying around Brazil that he could take charge of the Brazilian national side. Now, AC Milan owner and president, Silvio Berlusconi, openly admitted that Guardiola is the 'rossonero's' target for next season. "We know there are a few English teams interested in Guardiola, particularly Manchester City," Berlusconi said, "but we'll give it a go".
Guardiola's agent, Josep María Orobitg, once again denied that the coach had spoken to anybody. "It doesn't matter what is said. I'm not going to talk about Guardiola's future with any club or any national side." According to those closest to Guardiola, his potential 'new homes' next season could be Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich or Milan. The Brazil job, recently made available by the sacking of Mano Menezes, has sped up the race to hire Guardiola's services next season.
