According to Barcelona's medical staff, forward David Villa was not named on the squad sheet for their next La Liga fixture against Levante due to an injury to his left ankle.
Meanwhile, defender Adriano Correia and midfielder Thiago Alcántara trained with the rest of the squad this week after both recovering from injury, and have been given the go-ahead to travel to Valencia.
Barça coach Tito Vilanova named a 19-man squad in addition to reserve team goalkeeper Oier Olazábal, meaning they will travel with three goalkeepers.
The 20 players due to travel to Valencia to face Levante include: Valdés, Pinto, Oier, Piqué, Puyol, Mascherano, Jordi Alba, Alves, Montoya, Adriano, Song, Sergio Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Thiago, Jonathan dos Santos, Cesc, Pedro, Messi and Tello.
