David Villa has not helped quell the rumours that he has fallen out with Leo Messi.
After the two players had an argument on the pitch during Barcelona's 1-2 defeat to Celtic in Glasgow last Wednesday, their second dispute this season, many were interested to see how they would behave in Sunday's game with Mallorca, which Barcelona won 4-2.
Villa did not play brilliantly, and failed to celebrate Barcelona's second and third goals.
The Asturian did celebrate Xavi's opening goal, running towards the Catalan midfielder to congratulate him on his stunning free-kick, but did not seem particularly pleased when Messi doubled Barça's lead.
Villa was on the edge of the area when Messi scored his first goal of the game. At first he applauded the goal and was on his way to congratulate the goalscorer with the rest of his team-mates, but suddenly turned around and ran towards Dani Alves and returned to his position on the pitch, without saying anything to Messi.
Nor did Villa congratulate Cristian Tello, who scored Barça's third, despite praising the winger earlier in the game for playing a good pass to him, which he nearly converted.
Villa was substituted in the second half and was on the bench when Messi got his second goal, but television cameras did not capture his reaction to the goal.
