José Mourinho has never won away to Levante

He hasn't tasted victory at the Ciutat de Valencia stadium, or even seen his team score there. The defeat last season in the Liga was marred by the controversy surrounding Khedira's dismissal.

José Mourinho has never won away to Levante

Since he arrived at Madrid in 2010, Mou has suffered eight away defeats: against Barcelona (three), Levante (two), Sevilla (one), Getafe (one) and Osasuna (one). At all the places he's lost in Spain he's managed to at register a win, as well. That is, except for the Ciutat de Valencia - his away-day bugbear.

He hasn't tasted victory against Levante or even seen his team score there. Last season's Liga defeat ended in the controversial dismissal of Khedira for a push on Ballesteros. "He fell for the trick", said Mourinho after the match, going against what he's said just weeks before on 'Informe Robinson': "If we lose, I never blame a player."

In his first season in charge (10/11), Madrid brushed victory but the game ended in a 0-0 draw. A few months later, a team heavy on reserves lost 2-0 in the second-leg of a Copa del Rey tie against Levante after Madrid had won the home game 8-0.

There are two other stadiums which the Portuguese has been unable to conquer: Sampdoria's Luigi Ferraris and Marítimo's Dos Barreiros. The current Madrid boss left Italy without having beaten Sampdoria (two defeats and a draw), and was unable to overcome Marítimo, both during his time at Porto and at Leiria (two defeats and a draw). He also lost twice at Do Dragao as a visitor, though later took up the reins at Porto.
