Tito Vilanova was in a positive mood after he saw his Barcelona side lose 2-1 to Celtic on a cold and tense night in Glasgow.
Despite the result, Barcelona are still in the driving seat in Group G, with 9 points, and are still favourites to qualify for the next round of the tournament.
"I congratulate Celtic and their fans," said Vilvaova in a post-match interview.
"It has been an incredible spectacle. We knew that they were a threat from corners, and that's a credit to them. They did not have many corners, but they did very well with the few they had. If we had scored first it would have been a more open game. We adapted to their style of play well, we got down the wings and had men in the box to get on the end of crosses, and their goalkeeper [Fraser Forster] was fantastic."
Tight teams: "It was the most important game we have left this year, and I knew this because I said so. But still, we only have ourselves to blame. We've played these types of games before. At the end of the day, it comes down to putting your chances away. Their goalkeeper stopped everything and we hit the post twice. To play how we play, we need to have small players. When we have taller players we are stronger from corners, but I like being on the bench with the little guys."
An unjust result: "There's no satisfaction with losing. We played to win. We minimised their potential in attack. I'm happy because we gave it our all right until the end and knew what we had to do and we managed to open up the pitch."
Conclusions from the defeat: "We have to continue playing in the same way as always, that's my conclusion about what has happened. We have to improve from set pieces but it's difficult when your players are so small. We've suffered from set pieces in these last few years. We've lost Eric Abidal and Seydou Keita and it's easy to tell. We know it won't be easy to qualify. If I have to lose, I'd rather lose like this, but I never like losing."
On Alexis Sánchez's performance: "Alexis has changed his position because it suited us. We wanted to get down the flanks with our full backs, and we did everything we should have done, but we haven't been able to win and it's very unfortunate."
